Can Safer Mines Bring More Profit?

    Insect & Tar Remover
    Insect & Tar Remover
There are plenty of stereotypes out there about mines being very unsafe places to work. Of course, the stereotype continues that the owners cut costs by denying workers the safety that they need. Naturally, some of this is true, and some of this is false. There are mines in the world where these practices do exist, but probably not nearly as many as people may believe.

However, let’s pose a question which we can answer: can safer mines bring more profit?

In theory, safer mines lead to higher productivity, less stress in the workers, and therefore better results from the mine. However, the theory that cutting costs really does give the owners more money can seem seductive…and possible.

Not only do all workplaces benefit in production when employees are safer, but the business as a whole becomes more efficient, thus naturally cutting its own costs, by behaving in an employee-centric manner. Where people love to work, they love to improve their company as well as their working conditions. The company is made up of people who love their jobs and feel safe in a normally hazardous industry.

What about the earth? Can the earth benefit from safer mining practices?

Envirosafe Solutions loves to provide chemical solutions, from cleaning to rust removing and a wide variety of other solutions, for all types of businesses, and we would always be privileged to work for a mining company. We know that people who make an effort to keep the world safer are also more likely to keep their employees safer. It is called social consciousness.

Inevitably, even business owners who wish to use eco friendly liquid products like the ones that Envirosafe Solutions provides may find themselves believing that others will not support their decisions. Taking responsibility for your work and your workplace is part of being an adult. It is part of being a man or a woman. It is part of running a good business.

Environmentally friendly products are out there, but we carry high quality rust converter, mineral deposit remover, and radiator cleaner. We have a lot of tools which would work perfectly in the mining environment. If you would like to learn more about using our effective chemical solutions, then give us a call today: (+61) 1300 88 90 70.

    Animal Bones and New Gardens

    Extreme Green
    Extreme Green
Death is a natural part of Shakespeare’s plays and every other art form, drama, and performing art. Death, it is fully recognized, is a part of being human. Death is put into comedies, into tragedies, into romances, and into abstract art, which is not necessarily supposed to have definite meaning.

In the past thirty years, death is been treated with kid gloves by first world countries. For some reason, the attunement to higher technology and more precise skill levels seems to have also put us into a state where we try to preserve death, much as we attempt to preserve life. This is not only unrealistic, but it is natural, in an organic sense. The bodies of our animal friends and loved must decay at some point, and this is a natural process.

Fortunately, we can discuss animals without going into too many emotional details, like we would if we were discussing the loss of humans. Animals tend to be wrapped up and put in the ground or put in a box and then into the ground. Well, first you must remember to bury it deep enough. And then, after that, you might as well let it be useful for the environment around it.

Therefore, it might be recommended to bury it at least four feet deep in the garden. This allows the body to contribute to the growth of new garden plants, while also keeping it safe by burying it deep enough to not be dug up by other animals. Both contribution to the environment and temporary preservation of your beloved pet are accomplished.

In the meantime, you can go back to your daily habit of preserving the living. Envirosafe Solutions is dedicated to providing a safer and more sustainable planet for our future, and all of our eco friendly liquid products are planet safe chemical solutions. We provide business-to-business maintenance care through the use of our toilet bowl cleaners, glue remover, and fabric conditioners. We also contribute to planet safety by sell all kinds of other eco friendly liquid products. Even if you need something as simple as anti-bacterial hand wash, you can bulk order with us. For more information or to place an order, visit our website or call Envirosafe Solutions today: (+61) 1300 88 90 70.

    Estate Landlords

    Eco Friendly
    Eco Friendly
Landlords, throughout history, have occupied varying roles in the rural areas and in the cities. While some landlords may be the actual owners of the property which they manage, other landlords are merely titled stewards of the land and the operations and wildlife reserves thereof.

Estates in Great Britain, Australia, and all over the world are a bit more than just property to be owned. Estates or plantations include houses, homes for the workers, grasslands, planting fields, forests with game in them, and rivers and ponds with fish in them. Estates were always meant to be completely self sustaining, and therefore were like a small little world all by themselves. Therefore, it was necessary to know a great deal about a great number of things in order to be able to effectively run an estate and to manage the people, wildlife, and natural resources thereon.

Today, we have specialists, and these specialists don’t know anything outside of their chosen field of expertise. Today’s estate landlords may know a lot more than the average peasant, but many of them are still not as experienced, educated or widely or deep educated as they had been in the past.

In your business, the management of your company’s resources can either be done with a lot of experience and expertise, or it can be mismanaged, thus costing your company a lot of revenue and costing you a lot of time.

One of the main resources you manage is your business’ chemical solutions. Mould rid, radiator cleaner, antibacterial hand wash, and fuel conditioner are only a few examples of what your company uses on a regular, sometimes daily, basis in order to get things done.

Are you using eco friendly versions of these fluids?

You’ve got to think about all of the details involved with being a responsible steward of your business’ resources. This is all so that you can become involved in more and more operations of your company. The stronger you are, the bigger and more powerful your business will become. This is just a matter of time. To order our environmentally friendly liquids, please place your order on our site or by calling us on the phone: (+61) 1300 88 90 70.

    Company Green: Overruling Business Policies

    Dishwashing Liquid
    Dishwashing Liquid
If you have just entered ownership of a company or if your control over the company has changed over time, you may find yourself wishing to do away with old or outdated practices and company policies. Of course, you should always check with your legal department before attempting to do anything like change your business policies. In addition to that, if you are looking to change things in favor of eco friendly situations, you may wish to hire some eco-knowledgeable lawyers to advise you on that, as well.

Moreover, if you find yourself becoming overwhelmed with the rewriting of company rules and regulations, then you might wish to find yourself an alternative system or to consult with someone who does that for a living.

Make sure that, no matter who you consult with, you have plenty of references to back up their case history and their experience in this matter. Always be thorough and extremely exacting in your standards and in the standards you expect from consultants you employ.

Now, there are some things which you will not need a change in company policy in order to implement. For example, your janitorial staff can begin purchasing environmental cleaning products, like those from Envirosafe Solutions, when they begin to order their next round of chemical solutions. Your cleaning staff can make sure that their glass cleaner, toilet bowl cleaner, and disinfectant all come from Envirosafe Solutions and are therefore eco friendly and safe for the earth.

If your environmental attorneys can find a way to include these purchases under some sort of eco initiation performed by the government, then so much the better. Make sure that they have examined every way in which that can occur. Your money should be retained as much as possible.

In the meantime, don’t worry about the changes to the staff when you overrule former business policies. Many people can adapt to new things, as long as they don’t have to keep changing things every single week. Be consistent and dependable, and keep any eye out for the sustainability of our planet. That is, after all, the responsible thing to do. Call us today for more information: (+61) 1300 88 90 70.

The Truth about Watering Your Grass

    Toilet Bowl Cleaner
    Toilet Bowl Cleaner
Modern wisdom dictates that we water our grass at nighttime, so that there is a minimum of evaporation during the heat of the day. The truth about watering your grass is that you can do it even better, without needing to water it every day, by using basic principles of nature.
In order to retain soil, the earth on your land must be held down, both by soil covering (like grass) and ground covering (like bushes and trees). If you accomplish both of these principles, then whatever rain the land receives is soaked into the ground AND held there, rather than running off, evaporating, or quickly using up the resources of the grass roots.
The truth about watering your grass is that there needs to be more than grass there. You need to be able to accomplish a wide variety of water retention, and that means that wide open spaces need to be broken up with some sort of addition vegetation, on top of the grass. It is recommended to plant this additional vegetation with trees in between hills and valleys, shrubbery on top of hills, and long grasses and wild rice or something to soak up the water which inevitably collects in the valleys. This is not only functional, but it creates a more even top to the landscape in otherwise very rolling hills. Then, when people set out on food to explore the land, the ground level itself will dip and rise according to its nature, but this won’t be immediately apparent.
Watering your grass also means that you must take care of whatever soil is there, even if it is not covered by grass. For that reason, we recommend Soil Wetta, our dust suppressor, from Envirosafe Solutions, a company built upon the principles of eco friendly liquid products. In addition to basic chemical products which service agricultural needs, we provide a wide array of other environmentally friendly liquids, like our marine glass cleaner, antibacterial hand wash, and rubber remover. If your worksite demands a lot of friction, we recommend our multi-purpose lubricant for that. Really, there is very little that we can’t provide to your jobsite. Be sure and check out our website or call us here at Envirosafe Solutions today: (+61) 1300 88 90 70.

    Don’t Burn the Grass!

Pasturing is the art and science of keeping pasture lands sustainable, well watered and well covered in grass and critters which feed on everything. Without proper pasturing, livestock can overfeed on the grass before they are told to move on, grass can grow too tall and too wild, or the beginnings of desertification can occur because livestock is not allowed to properly fertilize the grass before it moves on to new pastures.
In fact, misunderstanding about how to care for soil, grass, pasture lands and basic wild areas of growth has reached such a point that grass is burned down in order to create room for new growth. Unfortunately, one fact has been left out of the life cycle of good, healthy pastures.
    Grass needs to be fertilized.
Also, the best fertilization is that which nature can provide, and has been providing, for thousands of years.
That means that the livestock must be handled in such a way that they can eat and then fertilize the grass, and then the herd moves on to somewhere else. Pasture planners discovered this philosophy by studying how herds moved in the wild. What a novel idea! Now, by burning the grass, immense pasture lands in Africa and other parts of the world are taken over by desertification. In order to get abundance out of the land, proper pasturing must be renewed.
By the same token, chemical solutions must deliver the promise that they make, while also not causing more problems at the same time. When you are cleaning your floors, you must be able to get it clean all of the way, while also not leaving behind a lot of sticky or toxic chemical residue.
Enter a product about which we are very proud: Our solvent free degreaser.
We carry other things, too, such as marine glass cleaner, dishwasher powder, and disinfectant. However, we are always careful that our chemical solutions do not just fix one problem while causing another at the same time. We are careful that our eco friendly liquid products are productive and tidy all at once.
Now, you may not be into pasturing right now, but you probably still need to keep your business, your jobsites, and your home clean. Well, we are here for you. Call Envirosafe Solutions today: (+61) 1300 88 90 70.

    Agriculture and Climate Change

The CSIRO recently published their long awaited Climate Change book, Climate Change: Science and Solutions for Australia. The publication provides fresh and up to date information on the latest scientific findings on many climate change topics relevant to Australia and the rest of the world. “Climate change research over many years shows links between human activities and warming of the atmosphere and oceans. This warming has caused changes to the climate system, such as changes in rain and wind patterns and reductions in Antarctic sea ice.”
But what are the real implications for agriculture. How does the agricultural sector successfully adapt to climate change here in Australia, given we are already a continent of vast extreme green and weather variations, which are only going to become more pronounced?
Envirosafe Solutions has taken a careful look at the publication’s chapter, “Adapting Agriculture to Climate Change,” and outlines the latest findings and information relevant to the sector.
    Agriculture and changing conditions

Dr. Chris Stokes and Dr. Mark Howden know all about agriculture and climate change. It’s one of their specialist research areas. Both academics maintain that “helping agriculture adapt to climate change involves helping communities to understand why adaptation is needed.” Education is key and Australians from the agricultural sector need to understand that new flexible, risk-based approaches will help, along with a simple adoption of already existing best practice management strategies and good natural resource management approaches. Radical and aggressive measures and changes to operations may not always be required, but there still is a national imperative to equip Australian agriculture to be prepared to adapt to climate change and use Environmentally Friendly Liquids.
The sector, including fishing and forestry already copes with a harsh environment, and producers may in fact be well placed and already adept at continually managing their practices to deal with extreme conditions. Climate Change and global warming may well undoubtedly add a new aspect or dimension to these conditions, but because of the historical familiarity with extreme weather patterns, Australia’s agriculture sector may fare better than its counterparts from other regions on the planet.
    Collaboration is the key

The authors however, point out that proper adaptation cannot be left to farmers and agriculturists or even governments alone. “Everyone involved in the food industry, including policy makers, research and development providers, enterprise managers, politicians and farmers can contribute to solutions by working in collaboration. For example, Governments can ensure that water and drought policies accord with successful farm adaptation and do not impede it.”  It is this collaborative approach that will ensure successful and timely adaptation occurs with minimal bureaucratic obstruction and red tape.

Envirosafe Solutions supports Environmental Cleaning Products for a collaborative approach to climate change for the agriculture sector. The sector needs to be supported through changes by bureaucracy, governments and government departments and various stakeholders. Farmers and agriculturalists need to be listened to and “every strategy should derive from working with farmers, fishers and foresters to develop a choice of alternative adaptations to suit the range of likely climates they may encounter.”

    Mining ban sparks environmental debate

A piece of wilderness in the north of South Australiahas been declared out of bounds for mining. The landmark decision to protect Arkaroola from mining has been a costly blow for explorer Marathon Resources but has been applauded by the green revolution.

After years of debate the unique Arkaroola Wilderness Sanctuary in South Australia’s Flinders Ranges has been declared a mining-free zone.

Premier Mike Rann made the announcement on July 24 and won widespread community support for the environmental stance, although concerns have been raised about potential compensation costs.

Mining company Marathon Resources and its legal team have entered discussions with the State Government after investing heavily in mining exploration in the area. Shares in the junior explorer fell after the mining ban was announced.

Marathon was granted an exploration license for the uranium-rich area this year, after being banned for dumping waste in 2008. It had been preparing to start drilling in what it has described as the ‘fifth-biggest undeveloped uranium deposit in Australia’.

    Walking the tightrope

The Arkaroola ban has highlighted the balancing act involved in exploiting the nation’s rich natural resources while protecting vulnerable and unique environments.

Australian mining companies are widely regarded as world-leaders in establishing best practice mining.

The industry has a code of practice governing site restoration, air emissions, contamination, water and hazardous materials management. Switching to eco-friendly industrial liquids instead of harsh chemicals (such as the popular Extreme Green range which includes dust suppressor and non-toxic cleaners) or finding uses for mineral-rich mining waste are significant steps forward.

Yet mining continues to leave a heavy environmental footprint – soil erosion, loss of biodiversity, water contamination from non-eco-friendly liquid products and native vegetation removal are part of the price.

These concerns prompted the decision to protect Arkaroola, which will be excised from the State’s Mining Act and nominated for National Heritage Listing.

The South Australian Chamber of Mines and Energy has labelled the decision short-sighted, claiming it failed to accommodate future technological advances, such as mining without surface disturbance.

Compensation talks continue but for the South Australian community support for the mining ban remains high – it appears the public wants a line to be drawn in the sand. Some areas just shouldn’t be touched.

The way forward lies in developing improved technologies and continuing to implement best practise across Australia’s mining sector. Perth-based environmental cleaning products company Envirosafe Solutions proudly supports the mining sector’s green efforts by supplying the industry with its Extreme Green product range.

From bio-fuels to eco friendly products – greener skies for aviation industry

Australia could develop an aviation biofuels industry that was both economically and environmentally sustainable according to a new report by the CSIRO. The study highlights new opportunities for the aviation industry to reduce fossil fuel reliance. Teamed with other environmental initiatives (such as eco-friendly industrial products) it promises a greener way to take to the skies.

An Australia-New Zealand aviation biofuels industry could cut greenhouse emissions by 17 per cent and reduce Australia’s aviation fuel imports by $2 billion over the next 20 years.
The new industry would also generate more than 12,000 jobs.

The CSIRO study paints a promising outlook for aviation at a time when air travel has come under increased scrutiny over carbon emissions. The green revolutionof tomorrow’s aviation industry incorporates new, more aerodynamic aircraft technology.

“This study (the Flight Path to sustainable Aviation) highlights promising options for the aviation industry,” CSIRO project leader and economist Paul Graham.“It also identifies the market, infrastructure and governance changes that will be required for success.

“Through the uptake of sustainable bio-derived jet fuel, together with next generation aircraft and engines, the industry can reduce both its emissions and its reliance on imported fossil fuel.”

While bio-fuels and aircraft design look set to shape the future of sustainable air-travel, simple changes today also promise to make an environmental difference.

Initiatives such as carbon offset flights have allowed air passengers to reduce their carbon footprint as they travel the globe.

By paying a voluntary charge when booking tickets, passengers on many of Australia’s airlines – including Qantas and Virgin – can contribute to carbon reduction schemes.

Airlines can also employ best environmental practice at airports and hangers to reduce environmental footprint.

A switch to environmental cleaning products can make a big difference to air, soil and water pollution, better protect equipment and improve safety for staff and passengers.

Eco-friendly industrial liquids are biodegradable, safe and minimise the build-up of residual toxicity, which contributes to corrosion on plant and equipment –a significant safety concern for those in charge of aircraft maintenance.

Harsh solvent-based cleaners or products containing fluoride or chlorine can be replaced by environmentally friendly cleaners to reduce environmental impacts.

Leading Australian supplier Envirosafe Solutions has products which can safely and effectively replace most traditional aircraft and airport cleaners.

Its range includes the fully biodegradable and non-toxic Extreme Green Insect and Tar Remover. Safe for use on all painted surfaces and plastic and rubber components, it should be applied diluted at 1:10 parts water and left for five minutes before being wiped off with a clean, dry cloth. It makes an economical all-purpose spray and wipe cleaner when diluted at 1:50 parts water.

Research into sustainable technology – including biofuels – and a simple switch to safe, biodegradable eco-products promises a greener future for Australia’s aviation industry.
